What is Library-by-Mail?

Library-by-mail brings the library to you! All qualifying residents of Armstrong, Butler, Lawrence, and Mercer counties can receive library materials free of charge through the mail. There is no age requirement.

 

Who is eligible for service?

You qualify if you are…Temporarily or permanently homebound AND live in Armstrong, Butler, Lawrence, or Mercer county.

 

What can I request?

You may request specific titles/formats or our staff will make a selection for you based on your interests. We can also send audiobooks, large print books, DVDs and videos. *THERE IS A LIMIT OF 2 ITEMS PER MAILING*

 

When are items due?

Loan periods are specific to each situation and will be determined after your application has been approved.

 

How do I sign up?

Contact the Mercer Area Library and let us know you would like to take advantage of the FREE Library-by-Mail program.

 

Once approved, materials will be delivered to your home via the United States Postal Service in a reusable bag. You will return the items in this same bag, free of charge, prior to the due date.
